<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material with high sensitivity and excellent heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: In this thermal recording material, a recording layer, which contains a colorless or light-colored electron-donative dye precursor and an electron-accepting compound reacting in heating so as to make the dye precursor develop a color, is provided on substrate. The thermal recording material comprises N-(4-methylphenylsulfonyl)-N'-ä3-(4-methylphenylsulfonyloxy)phenyl}urea as the electron-accepting compound of the recording layer; and 2-(2'-hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl)benzotriazole as a sensitizer. In a multicolor thermal recording material, preferably, a dye precursor, wherein a color development adjusting layer constituted by polymerizing a vinyl monomer is provided on a surface, is used as at least one kind of dye precursor among the mutually different dye precursors of the recording layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
