PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a waste toner processing apparatus that has a waste toner container for storing waste toner recovered from a photoreceptor to a cleaning device and a sensor for detecting that the waste toner container is full of waste toner. SOLUTION: A toner detection space S is provided in the waste toner container 13. The light emitting part 25 and light receiving part 26 of a photosensor 24 are disposed so as to sandwich walls 21 and 22 defining the space S.
