PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method without causing image flowing and image defect even if an image forming process is repeated by using a photoreceptor having a high-hardness surface. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, the electrophotographic photoreceptor has a siloxane-based resin having charge transferability and having a crosslinked structure in its surface layer and an electrophotographic developer contains a binder resin, a release agent and magnetic metallic particulates.
