PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden to be imposed on the user of a terminal for the changing operation of a program to be used by a terminal. SOLUTION: When the request of the end of the connection of a PDA 8 and a server 7 is transmitted from the PDA 8, the server 7 transmits data to be used for updating a program executed by the PDA 8 to the PDA 8. The PDA 8 updates the program based on the data transmitted from the server 7. Also, when the request of the connection of the PDA 8 and the server 7 is transmitted from the the PDA 8, the server 7 transmits information showing whether the use of the updated program is approved or not to the PDA 8. When the information transmitted from the server 7 shows that the use of the updated program is approved, the PDA 8 executes the updated program to input/output data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
