PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which easily exhausts and discards dust which is collected in the vacuum cleaner body. SOLUTION: Suction air current made by a fan motor 204 collects dust in a dust case 210. A dust case 303 is formed in a charging table 9, and a cleaner body 1 is mounted on the charging table and a button 8 is pushed down when the trash is discharged to the charging table side. Then, a valve 214 closes an airflow channel between the dust case 210 and the fan motor 204 and opens the airflow channel which leads to the fan motor 204 from the dust case 303 of the charging table 9. A rod 402 of a shaft 211 presses down a bottom valve 216 of the dust case 210 and a valve 307 of the dust case 303 in the charging table 9 and opens them. The suction air current from a cleaner body tube 6 flows, as indicated by arrowed lines, and discharges the dust collected in the dust case 210 to the dust case 303 in the charging table 9.
