PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to confirm that the detection operation of abnormal shadow candidates is normally performed. SOLUTION: In an abnormal shadow detection processing, a CPU 10 detects the candidates of an abnormal shadow from image data by an abnormal shadow candidate detection means 16, changes detection accuracy to be lowered by changing a detection parameter in the case that the candidate is not detected, then detects the candidates again, and performs detection by changing the detection parameter until at least one candidate is detected. Then, in the case that at least one candidate is detected, reliability of the detected candidate is judged. Then, the image data are displayed at a display part 12, and display is controlled such that a detected abnormal shadow candidate area is indicated and displayed, a color corresponding to the judged reliability is attached and the candidate area is identified and displayed.
