An application is used to assist an engineer with the creation, editing, storing and submission of a statement of work for an engineering project to be completed by an external or global source. The application is used by the engineers to create, edit and store standard statements of work for global sources, to create, edit and store preliminary or draft statements of work for internal use and to create, edit and store "blanket" statements of work that cover a broad work scope of several small projects over a longer period of time. In addition, the application can be used to audit a standard or blanket statement of work and any related documents and technical data for content and compliance with export and business controls before the statement of work is submitted to a global source.
