The assembly to clean a suspension of paper fibers, from used paper for recycling, has a vertical and cylindrical sieve (3) with the suspension (S) fed in from above. The rejected fraction (R), containing impurities, is taken off axially at the bottom. The reject fraction drops into a chamber (7) under the sieve, which is rotated to spin off the heavy particles. A part-flow (T) is taken from the collection chamber, and led back to the sieve inflow.
