PURPOSE: A system for detecting an illegal parking car is provided to exactly detect the illegal parking car without depending on the weather and climate by using a laser radiating/receiving a beam to/from a parking area repeatedly. CONSTITUTION: A system for detecting an illegal parking car includes a camera(50), a camera driving unit(41), a laser device(60), a laser driving unit(42), a storage unit(83), a vehicle detection unit(82), a time comparison unit(89) and a controller(80). The camera driving unit drives the camera in such a way that the camera directs to the object. The laser driving unit repeatedly rotates the laser device to radiate the laser on the radiation area. The storage unit stores the arch shape reference continuous curve by calculating the distance between the radiation area and the laser device and stores the feature curve for the car. The vehicle detection unit illuminates the laser on the radiation area and generates the practical continuous curve for the real distance between the radiation area and the laser device. The vehicle detection unit compares the practical continuous curve with the reference continuous curve and determines the vehicle based on the comparison result. The controller takes photographs by driving the camera driving unit when the illegal parking car is parked during a predetermined period. |
