ID CARD PREPARATION DEVICE, ID CARD, FACE AUTHENTICATION TERMINAL EQUIPMENT, AND DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR FACE AUTHENTICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an identification (ID) card affixed with a face photograph making forgery harder.

SOLUTION: An ID card 10 with the face photograph provided with an IC chip, is prepared. Face photograph data F1 is obtained by shooting a face photograph part of the ID card 10, which is converted to code information CO. The code information CO is stored on the IC chip together with personal information IO. At the time of authentication, face photograph data F2 is obtained by shooting the face of a person to be authenticated. The data F2 is converted to code information C2. The personal information IO and the code information CO are read out from the IC chip 12 of the ID card 10 in the person's possession, and whether the personal information IO and the code information CO are registered in a registration server 71, is determined. Further, it is determined whether the code information C2 agrees with the information corresponding to the code information CO. The authentication of the person is performed only when identity for both is positively acknowledged.
