PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating scum raking apparatus reduced in equipment cost, needing no power cost and no cost for external wirings, and performing a stable operation. SOLUTION: This floating scum raking apparatus is simplified in its power transmission mechanism by equipping a raking mount 20 with a drive source 72 that moves the raking mount 20 and can be dispensed with the need for externally supplying the drive source 72 with an electric power by equipping the apparatus with a solar power generator 200 that generates electricity by using sunlight, a capacitor 201 that stores the electric power received from the solar power generator 200, and a controller 202 that receives the electric power from the capacitor 201 and controls the drive of the driving source 72. The solar power generator has a risk of an insufficient power supply when it supplies an almost continuously operated driving source with an electric power. Nevertheless, even such the generator can satisfactorily supply the drive source 72 in e.g., the floating scum raking apparatus, which needs not be continuously operated but needs to be intermittently operated, with an electric power.
