PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-load transmission belt, in which centrifugal force can be restricted to be low even when a belt is run at high speed, and in which service life of the belt can be greatly elongated with relation to breakage of blocks, so that conditions required for a high-load transmission belt can be satisfied at high level. SOLUTION: This high-load transmission belt comprises center belts 3a and 3b, and a plurality of blocks 2. The block 2 comprises thermoplastic resin and PAN-based carbon fibers. Blending quantity is 15-80 mass parts of reinforcement material comprising the PAN-based carbon fibers to 100 mass parts of the thermoplastic resin.
