PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation tomographic apparatus wherein the quality and obtaining method of a scout image can optionally be changed according to the purpose of diagnosis and the condition of a subject. SOLUTION: The tomographic apparatus comprises: a parameter deciding part 51; and a data assignment position deciding part 52. The parameter deciding part 51 fixes the rotating position of a radiation emitting means and a radiation detector with respect to the patient, detects radiation by the radiation detector while moving them in the direction of a slicing thickness with respect to the patient and regulates the generation condition of the scout image generated based on this detected data. The data assignment position deciding part 52 decides an assigned position in the scout image of each detected data detected by the radiation detector based on this parameter.
