PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable raising seedling pot keeping sufficient strength to endure the handling in the transplantation of the planted seedling. SOLUTION: The raising seedling pot has a pot shape and is made of a biodegradable sheet. The pot is free from joint part or has a joint part only in the vertical direction relative to the bottom of the pot. Preferably, the pot has a hemispherical shape or a prismatic shape. More preferably, the pot has a prismatic shape composed of bottom face and side faces, the bottom face has a regular N-sided polygonal shape, the side faces are N-congruent rectangular planes, and N is an integer of≥3.
