A radio communication system including base stations that distribute predetermined data by radio so as to be received by mobile terminals located within the communication area of a base station. This system comprises a management means for managing communication area information on the communication area of each of the base stations, a communication area information providing server to which the communication area information is sent from each of the base stations a mobile terminal that has, a radio communication unit for receiving communication area information sent from each of the base stations depending on the position of the mobile terminal and boots up an application program to be used in the communication area which the mobile terminal approaches according to this received communication area information.
