The switch tongue position control devices (15, 16) are connected to the seats (17, 18) used to guide the locking devices (11, 12) for the switch bolts (6, 7) and have a fixed position in relation to these seats. The position of the seats in the actuator casing (19) can be altered by moving them in a direction substantially parallel to the movement direction for the switch bolts and they can be fixed in a common position relative to the casing. The points comprise two switch tongues (3, 4) cooperating with two rails (1, 2) and movable between two positions. An actuator (5) for the points is connected to the tongues via switch bolts and provided with a casing having a drive device (8) for the bolts. Two seats in the casing are used to guide two locking devices for fixing the bolts in two positions corresponding to the tongue positions. The control devices for the tongue positions are housed inside the casing.
