<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet imaging method which offers advantages of preventive improvement in the development of cracks in an image surface during long-term preservation with an emphasis upon the suppression of cracking, high gloss and outstanding ink absorbency. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, an ink absorbing layer is formed on an RC (resin-coated) support, and an image is recorded in an ink jet recording medium containing a thermoplastic resin particle which is an aqueous emulsion synthesized using a polyvinyl alcohol as a protecting colloid for emulsion polymerization on a surface layer and thermally treated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
