<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security even when document data encrypted by an application are printed. <P>SOLUTION: In this printer system for printing encrypted data, an authenticating device 160 is provided with a private key generating part 161 for, when receiving a public key request from the PC 100, generating private key information for an IP address specific to a PC 100, and for transmitting the identification information of the PC 100 and the generated private key information to the printer, and a public key processing part 162 for generating public key information from the private key information generated in the part 161, and for transmitting it to the PC 100.
