PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform an operator of a part which is to be invisible when shifting to a display mode where a tomogram is partially deleted, before shifting. SOLUTION: When an instruction of shifting from a first display mode where a B-mode image Gb is entirely displayed on a screen to a second display mode where a part of the B-mode image Gb and a Doppler image are displayed side by side on the screen is given, a display range frame F for informing the operator of a part of the B-mode image displayed by the second display mode is displayed before shifting. Thus, before shifting to the display mode where a part of the tomogram and another image are displayed side by side, the part of the tomogram to be invisible after shifting can be known in advance.
