PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system in which a user can easily select an optimum guidance route from a plurality of retrieved guidance routes, a navigation method, its program, and a recording medium in which the program is recorded. SOLUTION: The vehicle-mounted navigation system 10 comprises both the function of multiply displaying at least two routes from among the plurality of retrieved guidance routes and the function of singly and selectively displaying any route from among the guidance routes. In the navigation system 10, a plurality of items for classifying desired land marks are set. On the basis of the items, the land marks included in a prescribed range along every retrieved guidance routes are retrieved. The number of the retrieved land marks on every item is related to each guidance route and displayed on a single route display screen or on a multiple route display screen.
