PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transplanting a plant by which the plant is transplanted to a setting hole without breaking a root ball (the root of a seedling) in transplanting field crops and roots are generated in the soil of a ridge almost equal to those of seedlings in water culture by overcoming circumstance in which rooting is difficult for young seedlings in field soil. SOLUTION: The method is to bury a cotton candy-like alternative culture soil material comprising a biodegradable material in the soil of a conventional ridge, make a receiver hole for receiving the root ball in the cotton candy-like alternative culture soil material and receiving the seedling (the root ball) to the receiver hole.
