PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control power supply unit capable of controlling power supply at a low cost and easily to existing a household electrical appliance and an automatic machine which are not installed with a controller performing remote control, and facilitating the frequent remote control of power supply, thus making a contribution to reduction in power energy consumption. SOLUTION: A remote control power supply unit 10a which supplies commercial AC power to an externally connected electrical apparatus comprises a power supply terminal 12a for conducting power supply, a communication control part 14a capable of receiving internet information, and a control calculation part 16a for conducting a prescribed calculation on the basis of the information.
