PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital controller for a power converter which is capable of performing extremely accurate current control suitable for accelerators, etc. SOLUTION: When the current control of the electromagnet 6 of an accelerator is carried out by using a parallel multiple chopper 4, analog electric current deviationΔI is multiplied by a gain with an analog deviation amplifier 11, and then it is converted into a digital quantity by an A/D converter 12. Hereafter, the power converter is constituted for carrying out current control (ACR) and minor AVR control in a digital control part 19, and even if the 16-bit A/D converter 12 which is easily obtained is used, the current control of extremely high accuracy (10<SP>-6</SP>[μV] level) is enabled.
