摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube having an electron gun equipped with an indirectly heated cathode structure with reduced power consumption of a heater through suppression of temperature rise of each electrode constituting the indirectly heated cathode structure. SOLUTION: The cathode-ray tube is provided with a base metal 41 having a thermionic emission substance layer, a cylindrical sleeve 42 holding the base metal at one end part and housing a heater 45 inside, an atypical support 43 having a large diameter part at a main heater side of the heater 45 and a small diameter part at a leg part side of the heater 45 and supporting the sleeve 42, and a cathode disc 44 having a large diameter part at the leg part side of the heater 45 and a small diameter part at the main heater part of the heater 45. A thermal conduction distance from an outer wall face of the sleeve 42 to an end part of the large diameter part of the hard disc 44 through the support 43 is elongated by firmly fixing an outer face of the other end face of the sleeve 42 and an inner face of the small diameter part of the support 43 and firmly fixing an outer face of the large diameter part of the support 43 and the inner face of the small diameter part of the cathode disc 44.
