PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select an image recording medium adapted to a subject to supply it to an image recorder and to easily and surely manage a correspondence relation between the subject and an image recording medium in which image information of the subject is recorded. SOLUTION: Classification information of stimulable phosphor sheets are read from cassettes 34 having stimulable phosphor sheets which are stored in cassette storage devices 14A and 14B, and storage position information is obtained. When subject information is set by ID terminals 20A and 20B, cassettes 34 having classification information adapted to the subject information are selected from cassette storage devices 14A and 14B and are supplied to radiographic image photographing devices 12A and 12B. With respect to stimulable phosphor sheets in which radiographic image information is recorded, subject information is set so as to be related to discrimination information of the stimulable phosphor sheets.
