PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently dyeing a plastic lens with high density as compared with conventional dipping method and vapor phase method, effectively preventing the generation of uneven dyeing at the time of dyeing processing and easily performing processing after dyeing. SOLUTION: An ink receiving layer having high water resistance and high solubility to an organic solvent in which a plastic lens does not dissolve is formed on the surface of the plastic lens, and after addition of a sublimating dye in the ink receiving layer, the plastic lens is heated.
