The protective sleeve bands are formed as a tube of material with dividing lines (2) running across the longitudinal direction at distances corresponding to arm lengths. Between the dividing lines are structures for closing and holding the sleeve bands. These structures can be draw strings (7) accessible from the outside and running in channels (6) parallel to the dividing lines. The sleeve bands can be made from recyclable material such as thin-walled multi-layered waterproof paper.
