Binary data sequence transmission method using pulse flank position modulation method with coding of binary data sequence via run-length-limited code e.g. for remote-control in local computer network

The transmission method has the binary data sequence (11) from a data source (3) coded via a run-length-limited code, with generation of pulses of constant pulse length using a defined time raster in dependence on the coded data sequence (12) and detection of the pulse flanks in the transmitted signal (13') for generation of a detection signal (14) via the same time raster. The detection signal is decoded via the run-length-limited code for reconstruction of the binary data sequence. An independent claim for a binary data sequence transmission system is also included.
