DIELECTRIC PORCELAIN COMPOSITION, DIELECTRIC PORCELAIN, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric porcelain for a high frequency part, which has high strength and a high Q value and can stably be produced.

SOLUTION: The dielectric porcelain contains at least a diopside-type crystal and an Al2O3crystal and is characterized in that a-axis, b-axis, c-axis, and β-angle, determined by the XRD diffraction pattern, of the diopside-type crystal are ≥9.738 Å, ≥8.892 Å, ≥5.275 Å, and ≥106.39°, respectively, and the crystallization degree is ≥90%. In the method for producing the dielectric porcelain, the composition containing 40-90 mass% crystallized glass powder capable of depositing the diopside-type crystal comprising at least SiO2, CaO and MgO, 6-60 mass% Al2O3powder and at least one kind selected from the powders of oxides, carbonates, and hydroxides of alkaline earth metals in an amount of 0.1-5 mass% expressed in terms of its oxide is molded and the molding is fired at 850-1,050°C.
