<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation expression extraction device capable of extracting a pair of an evaluation object and an evaluation expression corresponding to the evaluation object from a document. <P>SOLUTION: A text data structure generation means 102 converts a text to a data structure retaining phrase information including at least the notation and modification information of constituting words, based on a language analysis result in a language analysis means 101, which performs a language analysis processing including at least morphological analysis processing and phrase modification analysis processing to the text. A specified phrase pair selection means 104 selects a phrase pair which refers to the evaluation of an article from phrase pairs determined to have a modification relation, and an evaluation object/evaluation expression specifying means 106 specifies the evaluation object and the evaluation expression corresponding to this evaluation object from the selected segment pair.
