PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the rate in which light beams to be transmitted are mixed into received light beams in a waveguide type optical wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer used for an optical transceiver that transmits two light beams having different wavelengths by a single core optical fiber to conduct bidirectional communication. SOLUTION: In the waveguide type optical wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer, a first wavelength light beam A to be transmitted is reflected by a multilayered film optical fiber 3 having wavelength selectivity, the reflected light beam is guided into a transmission optical waveguide to transmit the light beam to a communication called party. A second wavelength light beam B transmitted from the called party is passed through the filter 3 and received by a light receiving section 6. An optical resin layer 11 having a refractive index that is greater than the refractive index of air is formed on the outer surface of the multilayered optical filter 3 and a gap 12 is provided between the layer 11 and a light receiving surface 6A of the section 6.
