PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a thermoplastic resin foam-molded product, capable of reducing decomposition residues of monosodium citrate which are deposited on molding tools, etc., when a thermoplastic resin is mixed with the monosodium citrate as a thermally decomposable foaming agent, heated, and subjected to foam molding. SOLUTION: This method for producing the thermoplastic resin foam-molded product comprises forming a resin mixture by mixing (A) the foaming agent, such as the monosodium citrate, and (B) a copolymer, such as an ethylene-acrylate copolymer, into the thermoplastic resin to obtain a resin mixture, and then molding the resin mixture by heating the mixture at a temperature higher than a decomposition temperature of the foaming agent (A), such as the monosodium citrate, wherein an amount of the copolymer (B) to be mixed into the resin is 2-400 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the foaming agent (A), such as the monosodium citrate.
