PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability by installing a tank 11 in an apparatus without lifting the tank to an apparatus upper part. SOLUTION: This petroleum combustion heater is constituted by having openings 28 on either of two surfaces or more of the upper surface and the side surface or two surfaces or more of the back face or the front face of a tank housing 27. When installing the tank 11 on an oil receiving pan 21, the tank can be installed from the substantially horizontal direction. The tank 11 is constituted so that a first grip 24 is arranged on the upper surface, and a second grip 25 is arranged on the tank side surface corresponding to the opening 28.
