PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of reducing the number of temperature sensors and a cost, and of correctly carrying out adjustment of the temperature in the refrigerator and defrosting operation even if the refrigerator is equipped with respective evaporators in a chilling chamber and a freezing compartment. SOLUTION: Temperature are detected by an R sensor 19 installed in an R chamber 30 for detecting the temperature in the chamber, and an F shared sensor 17 installed on an accumulator 16 in the vicinity of an F evaporator 12; and the adjustment of the inside temperatures of the R chamber 30 and an F chamber 40, and the defrosting operation are carried out based on the detected temperatures.
