PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that sliding resistance is increased, and abnormal sound, fixation and adhesion are caused by line contact between a valve arranged in an air passage with straight parts in both sides and the flat surface of the inner wall surface of the passage opposed to the straight parts, and to provide a valve device capable of bringing the valve into point contact with the inner wall surface demarcating the passage to reduce the sliding resistance remarkably. SOLUTION: When the air passage, namely an intake port (2) is demarcated by an inner wall surface with a straight part (5) as a flat surface, an arc part (13) as a protrusion is provided in both sides of the valve (10) fixed to a shaft (8) rotated by an actuator (9) to be point-contacted with the opposed straight part (5).
