<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly of a push rod and a spherical end having a precisely set total length and distance from the mounting surface of an actuator and maintaining the precisely set total length over a long period of use of a brake system. <P>SOLUTION: This device for positioning a component of the brake system comprises a push rod 40, the spherical end 44 linked to the push rod, and a force transmitting element arranged between the push rod and the spherical end. The force transmitting element has both flowable and solidifying properties.
