PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact blood collecting needle which is easily usable for a person engaged in medical treatment and in which the structure of a hub is simple without the danger of the leakage of blood from a filter part or the like at the time of vacuum blood collecting tube connection. SOLUTION: The blood collecting needle 1 is composed of a needle tube 2 having sharp blade tips 21 and 22 on a tip and a base end, the hub 3 which is a hollow tubular body enclosing the needle tube 2, whose tip part is fixed to the needle tube 2, and an elastic cap 4 attached to the base end side of the hub 3, provided with such an inner diameter that it can be tightly attached to the outer surface of the needle tube 2 and capable of liquid-tightly covering a part exposed to the base end side from the hub 3 of the needle tube 2. On the inner surface of the elastic cap 4, at least one groove 41 communicated with the inside of the needle tube 2 through the blade tip 22 on the base end side of the needle tube 2 is provided. Inside the hub 3, a passage 35 for communicating the inside of the needle tube 2 and an external atmosphere through the groove 41 on the inner surface of the elastic cap 4 is formed, and an air-permeable and blood-impermeable filter 5 is provided on the external port part of the passage 35.
