PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having a controlling effect against plant pest. SOLUTION: This amide compound expressed by formula (I) (wherein, R<SP>51</SP>is a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R<SP>52</SP>is H, a halogen atom or the like; R<SP>53</SP>is H, a halogen atom, a 1-3C alkyl or a 1-3C haloalkyl; R<SP>56</SP>, R<SP>57</SP>are each H, a 1-4C alkyl or the like; R<SP>58</SP>, R<SP>59</SP>are each independently H, a halogen atom or a 1-3C alkyl; R<SP>60</SP>is a 1-4C alkyl or the like; R<SP>61</SP>is a 2-4C cyanoalkyl or the like; R<SP>62</SP>, R<SP>63</SP>and R<SP>64</SP>are each H, a halogen atom or a 1-2C alkyl; and X is O or S) has an excellent controlling effect against the plant pest.
