<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure for a supercharger capable of easily and surely improving the sealing performance of a seal ring provided in the supercharger. <P>SOLUTION: The supercharger includes a housing and a drive shaft 10 rotatably supported by the housing and provided with a turbine wheel 45 on one end thereof. The supercharger include a sealing structure regulating the movement of a fluid between the inside and outside of the housing including the seal ring 58 provided in the housing and a groove 19 which is formed on the drive shaft 10 and in which the seal ring 58 is loosely fitted. The sealing structure is provided with a adjustment mechanism adjusting a side clearance of the seal ring 58 in relation to the groove 19. The adjustment mechanism is constructed of in a screw 11 formed on the outer circumference of the drive shaft 10, and a retainer 13 and a stopper nut 14 threadedly engaged with the screw 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
