<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an operating section in mutually opening and closing two cases, in a portable terminal device in which the two cases are rotatably connected with each other. <P>SOLUTION: This portable terminal device is provided with a first case 2 provided with the operating section on one surface 2a, a second case 3 being foldable on the surface 2a and a connecting means 4 for connecting the first and second cases 2, 3 so that they are rotatably connected around a reference axis line L1 crossing the surface 2a. The connecting means 4 is provided with an almost circular recessed portion 17 formed in the direction of the reference axis line L1 on any one of the first and second cases 2, 3, and an almost cylindrical protrusion portion 15 to be inserted into the recessed portion 17 on the other one of the first and second cases 2, 3. A spirally formed trajectory 19 is provided on any one of an internal circumferential surface 17a of the recessed portion 17 and an external circumferential surface 15a of the protrusion portion 15, and an engaging portion 21 engaging with the trajectory 19 is formed on the other one of the internal circumferential surface 17a of the recessed portion 17 and the external circumferential surface 15a of the protrusion portion 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
