ROLLING METHOD AND ROLLING APPARATUS FOR METAL PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method and a rolling apparatus for a metal plate having no camber or very small camber.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for rolling are constituted as follows. One or both of upper and lower roll assemblies have a mechanism for supporting a work roll by a divided reinforced roll axially divided into three or more parts. The divided reinforced roll group support the loads of both in the vertical and rolling direction to be applied to the work roll. Load measuring devices are equipped respectively and independently to the divided reinforced rolls in the rolling mill. The rolling equipment is composed of the rolling mill and at least a pair of pinch rolls for clamping a material to be rolled on the exit side of the rolling mill. One or both of the right/left balance of rolling direction force acting on the material to be rolled from the pinch rolls and the right/left balance of the rolling direction force acting on the work roll of the rolling mill via the material to be rolled are measured or arithmetically calculated on the basis of the measured values by using the rolling mill and the rolling equipment. A right/left asymmetrical component of the roll opening of the rolling mill is controlled on the basis of the measured values or the calculated values of the right/left balance of the rolling direction force to roll the metal plate.
