PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-power-consumption bright display device to display a moving picture in relation to an optical switching element. SOLUTION: At least colored particles 3 and a gas is enclosed in a space 1 with a bottleneck 2. Driving electrodes 4, 5 are formed on both sides interposing the bottleneck 2.
