PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for an organic EL display panel to be used for an organic EL display panel of a structure with a cathode electrode made low in resistance by solving a problem that fall of voltage at a taking-out part of the cathode electrode gets large accompanying the tendency of a screen getting larger and in higher definition of the recent organic EL display panel, and further, to provide a substrate for an organic EL display panel to be used for an organic EL display panel of a structure preventing generation of cracks or peel-off due to stress at its interface with the taking-out part or the cathode electrode, in case of driving the organic EL display panel of a passive matrix type. SOLUTION: Silver paste or gold paste is screen-printed, and an electrode layer formed by baking the above is to be either a part or a whole of the taking-out part of the cathode electrode.
