PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head driving circuit for driving a common magnetic head corresponding to information recording in the opto-magnetic disk of a different recording format, and a magnetic head driving control method. SOLUTION: A control unit 50 is disposed to execute chopper control by turning ON/OFF first and second switching parts connected to a power source side and third and fourth switching parts connected to a ground side which are disposed in an H bridge circuit 40 based on a modulation signal, and turning ON/OFF the first and second switching parts connected to the power source side based on a duty ratio decided by a shortest write repeating frequency and the characteristics of the H bridge circuit 40 including a magnetic head 13 during the application of the modulated magnetic field of the same polarity.
