PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic water faucet device of a deck mount type, which is adapted to deliver water from a delivery opening with the hands over a sensor mounted on a spout part, and stop water when the hands are again held over the sensor, preventing wrong detection due to dish washing operation, handle operation, spout turning operation and sensor shading operation by thinking out the detection area and direction of the sensor. SOLUTION: This automatic water faucet device includes: a water faucet body of a deck mount type; an operating handle provided on the base part of the water faucet body to operate a valve for adjusting the flow rate and temperature of hot water; a spout communicated with the valve and freely rotatably fitted to the water faucet body; a delivery opening provided at the tip of the spout; and a sensor mounted on the spout. When the hands are held over the sensor, water is delivered from the water delivery opening, and when the hands are again held over it, water is stopped.
