A heat-sensitive recording material comprising a supporting body and a heat-sensitive recording layer which is formed on the supporting body and mainly contains a colorless or pale basic leuco dye and a developer is characterized in that the heat-sensitive recording layer contains an acrylic polymer obtained by copolymerizing, as the monomeric component, an alkyl acrylate, an alkyl methacrylate and a vinyl silane, and a colloidal silica having a chain structure.
