<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle antitheft system for realizing high convenience, while securing high level security. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle antitheft system 1 is provided with an authenticating microcomputer 2 and a fingerprint sensor 3 for detecting fingerprint information as fingerprint data. The authenticating microcomputer 2 is provided with a memory 11 for storing a plurality of fingerprint data of registered users. By collating the detected fingerprint data with the stored fingerprint data, a fingerprint authentication for determining whether or not a fingerprint information inputting person is the registered user is performed. The vehicle antitheft system 1 has a plurality of hierarchized user divisions (user levels). The authenticating microcomputer 2 permits each of the registered users to use on-vehicle equipment according to vehicle using authority given according to the user level to which the user belongs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
