RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD, REPRODUCING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium and its manufacturing method in which the interests of copyright holders are protected from unauthorized copying of video contents and to provide a reproducing method and device. SOLUTION: A nonvolatile memory 181 records a list of video finger printing data in which features of the latest video contents provided by a copyright control server who is approved by a digital video disk 160 and a control mechanism 120 are extracted. During reproducing of the video contents recorded in the disk 160, the features are extracted by computation 187 of the data and the video finger print data are obtained. When the data are included in the list, unauthorized reproducing of the disk 160 is limited until the copyright holder approves the reproducing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
