PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically project or record video from an entrance slave unit 100 with a camera on a television receiver 10 or on a video deck 11 in calling or speaking from the entrance slave unit 100 with the camera. SOLUTION: The television intercom device is provided with a CPU 216 for detecting a video output signal from the television receiver or from the video deck, sending an infrared remote control signal for input switching when the video output signal is detected in calling or speaking from the entrance slave unit with the camera or sending an infrared remote control signal for turning on a power source of the television receiver or of the video deck when the video output signal is not detected, and then sending the infrared remote control signal for input switching.
