PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable high-frequency oscillator for controlling oscillating frequency which can be surface-mounted. SOLUTION: The high-frequency oscillator using a plane resonator is composed of a plane resonator which forms electromagnetic wave fields by a circuit conductor and a ground conductor provided on both major surfaces of a substrate, and an amplifier which is connected with the plane resonator. In this case, the circuit conductor of the plane resonator is divided into several individual conductors by an open path, and variable reactances are connected between the several individual conductors for varying the resonance frequency by electronically controlling the electromagnetic wave fields. The ground conductor is provided with an opening which intersects with the open path for forming a coplanar line, and the amplifier is connected to the coplaner line. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
